2010 is Going to Be a Great Year!

For many the year 2009 has been a struggle.
Some have lost their jobs, some have lost their homes, some have lost relationships, and some have almost given up on any hope that their life will change.
But what a difference a new year makes! A new year is a time for new beginnings.
It is a chance to start over with a clean slate.
It is a time to remember what God has done and to look forward to what He will do.
2010 will be a year of Seeking God and getting closer to Him.
It will be a year of reaching forward and pressing onward and not looking back! Philippians 3:13 - 14 "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
" "...
forgetting those things which are behind...
" is hard.
Especially if there is pain involved with the memory.
Allow God to heal your memory and thoughts.
Let go of any unforgiveness and bitterness.
Don't bring that junk into your new year.
Make 2010 a year of seeking and pressing into God.
Hunger and thirst after God and the things of God.
Spend time in His presence and allow Him to talk to you quietly in your spirit.
When He whispers it is a knowing that goes down to the very core of your being.
You know he spoke to you and you stand on His words for your life.
2009, and all that it held, is over; the good, the bad, and the ugly.
2010 is a year of hope.
What will you do with this new year God has given you? Don't waste this New Year with turmoil over your past.
Don't waste a new opportunity with self-pity.
Get past yourself and experience something new in your life.
Never be afraid of transition.
2010 Is A Year Of Transition As I am writing this, it is December 31st, 2009.
Tomorrow will be January 2010.
It is a crossing of a threshold into a new year in your life.
It is a transition.
I believe 2010 will be a year of transition.
I felt God was telling me this in my spirit the other day as I was driving home.
He was telling me that we will be experiencing transition.
In transition there is a preparation period.
Esther had to go through a preparation process to transition over to be picked as the Queen of Susa (the capital of the Persian Empire), where she saved her people from being destroyed.
Her preparation took time, and it was a process.
Transition means a "movement, passage, or change from one position, state, stage, subject, concept, etc.
, to another; change.
" You can transition into a new position.
You can transition from one key to another in a song.
God is bringing change in position, change in what we do, how we function, and even how we think and act.
He is preparing us for more of what He has for us and expanding us to fulfill our destiny.
The number 2010 is interesting when you look at the meanings of numbers in the Bible.
The number 20 means "Holy, and redemption.
" And the number 10 means "Government; law (commandments); order; tithe; measure; trial; testing.
" When you put these numbers together you have a Holy year, a holy redemptive government or order.
It is a holy measure, a holy trial, or holy testing.
A holy transition often brings discomfort, as change often does, but to push through the pain of discomfort is very rewarding as God rewards those who endure.
Hebrews 10:32 (Amplified Bible) "For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
" Don't give up easily.
Your breakthrough, your transition out of your circumstances could be just around the corner.
Never give up! In 2010, if you find yourself in a transition, don't get discouraged, but get encouraged as God is moving you from one place to another in Him.
He is positioning you for greater things.
Let go of what you know and reach for the new God has for you.
You can trust God when He brings you to something unknown or unfamiliar that He is there guiding your steps.
He will always be there for you in 2010 and beyond.
What have you been seeking God for lately? What have you believed God to do in your life? Don't give up believing.
Keep enduring and trusting God to bring change into your life.
